I have a 97 WOlverine, I wanted to add aditional
lighting,, what kind of setup can I add, and how
much wattage can be utilized before it effects my battery, remember i only have on source to start it, and i don;t want to be stranded at night, because the lights are killing my battery as i ride.....!!!!!!!I have seen kits in cabela's and in atv catalogs,, some lights are 55watt some are less,,I really don't want to upgrade the electrical system.

I added one 55 watt light to mine, I beleive it can handle two with no trouble. I mounted mine on the front rack where the speedo mounts.

I would be careful with extra lights on a Wolverine. My buddy has a 2000 Wolverine and he put 2 automotive fog lights from Wal Mart on his and he has to turn them off when he's idling around or crawling through mud holes, or it will drain his battery. The extra lights are nice to have, but be careful not to drain your battery. you can also go to your dealer and get a pull starter for your Wolverine.

Heres what I did, I went to Advance Auto and bought a Hella (530) light kit($38.00), I got a pieace of flat steel and drilled a hole on each end(one hole for the light and one to mount to the rack) and mounted it to the ront rack where the speedo goes. I drilled the back of the light out so that sj cord would fit tightly and put some silicone around both to make a water tight fit. I wired the light to come on with the high beams, then I mounted the 12volt switch under the seat in the compartment in front of the battery and fused the whole thing. I also ran all my wiring in clear plastic tubing sealed at both ends. I installed the other light on my daughters atv. Boy, the Hella light makes a BIG diff. at night, I ride alot at night and have never had a problem with either atv keeping the batt. charged!!!!! Oh, the manual starter requires you to replace the side of the engine case!!!
