Default 660 Raptor piping?

hi, i have a 660 rappy, and i have been considering piping. i have asked what is the best type of pipe on here before, but its alot of money and i was wondering if you could tell me what it is like t have a pipe on a raptor. i rode behind one with a pipe and LOVED the sound [dnt no what pipe it was]. if i have a pipe , when i was going up through the gears would the difference in acceleration be such a big change? im after the feel you get in 1st gear when you just rev, the feeling of s**t loads of torque, would i get this or not?

the pipe i would probably get is a scorpion, as you just bolt it strate on, no jetting. it is said to add 6hp. there is a yoshi pipe [rs-3 i think] on ebay, the ful system, but i would need to re jet then wouldn't i? thanks for help

Here's a tip, no pipe is ever a straight bolt on with no jetting. If you dont rejet then your bike will run poorly, and if it doesnt then there will be no performance gain. Scorpion is not on the top of the list for performance and I believe your money can be spent better elsewhere.

If you arent capable of jetting it yourself, have no friends to do it and cant/wont pay someone knowledgeable to do so, dont get the pipe.

if you get an exhaust, you'll feel the difference big time. Especially the raptor because the stock one is so restricted. I have the fmf combo(powercore 4 with powerbombs) and I can tell the difference easily. With the fmf, it revs so much faster and I can wheelie when I want. And, its so fun when its loud

Exhaust system is definatly worth the money, I went with they GYTR version which I got from Ebay for about $350 used. You will need to rejet anytime you make and engine flow change, if you don't like changing the jets I suggest getting the exhaust system, air filter kit and jet kit then doing the rejet all in one go. The power increase on mine was 10.4 hp peak.

adding an exhaust is worth it. I had a big gun full system on my bike for almost four years and even with that system there was a noticeable gain. with jetting and airfilter mods, about 11 hp increase. Now I'm putting an LRD system on there with a new topend. Can't wait to run it. I'm selling my Big Gun system if your interested for cheap. PM me if you want some info or pics.
