Default Major backfire .... not good

I was out riding the other day and I noticed when I let it warm up and took off for the 1st time that day when I WOT in 3rd it backfired... I puttered around and then went through the gears. It was running a lil rough, did a plug chop.. everything looked fine. Hopped back on and rode it for another 40 mintues.. and it really started to backfire in WOT though.. bog down a lil bit. felt like it was looking power in a cylinder. I couldnt get the powerband to kick in. I would let down on the throttle and it would take off. I opened it back up (4th gear) and just this loud POP from the left silencer and it blew off my flame arrestor. So I just loaded it up and havent had a chance to look at..

anybody have any ideas or solutions?
