Hiofcer,
Not once did I ever say my vote was meaningless. It was not NEEDED for Bush to take Texas. And the populous vote is also a mute point. Currently elections are not based on the popular vote. As you pointed out, the presidency is still decided by the electoral vote.

And I don't know what country you reside in, but for me I live in this great country called the USA. And the last time I checked this country was based on FREEDOM. I'm also given THE RIGHT TO VOTE. And what I choose to do with that right is my business. An no one has yet to see me complain about who has or has not been elected.

I voted for Bush, and I to could not believe so many people voted for Gore. Gore definately would make it hard for anyone to find an area to ride. I am also in the ARMY and feel Gore and Clinton are tearing the military apart. Bush is the answer, and I hope and pray he wins for my recreation and fun, and for my career.

You did day it was meaningless…. Or shall I say And I Quote: " So my vote for the popular vote means nothing in the big scheme of things." In my world Meaningless = means nothing.

As I said in my previous post. Your right in the grand scheme of things your vote really would not have made the difference in Texas. I also know that elections are based upon the Electoral College system and not the populous vote. I was simply stating if it were, your vote would mean more.

BTW- your vote was meaningless because you didn't vote. And its Moot not Mute.

Hiofcer,
There's a reason I used MUTE and not MOOT.
MOOT - Controversial
MUTE - Speechless, voiceless, silent, wordless

Obviously you don't get what I was saying when I used the word "mute"

In that case let me spell it out for you. I didn't want to hear any more about the popular vote. I didn't want to hear any more about my vote that I did not cast in Texas compared to a vote cast in Florida.

Wow. I'm impressed. You actually know the meanings? I hope you didn't need to pull out the old Webster. It seems as though you actually might be educated. But then again educated people vote. Oh well, its not the first time I've been wrong.

Does anyone know how many absentee balots there are. If there are a lot then Bush will have it hands down because, if i do believe, most of the absentee balots are from the military. If there are a couple thousand of them then that should shut Gore up.

Sure, the people who don't vote ARE a problem. But its the ones that voted 3,4,5,6 times are the real problem. I beleive nationwide voter fraud scewed (screwed) this election ,bigtime. There were several examples caught on tape, here in Wi.All of them involved the Godless, baby bucherin',sparkplug
& gun bannin' liberal democrat vomit bags.
These shameless SOBs beleive the end justifies the means. There cause is all that matters, and if you don't agree with them then you must be defeated by any means necessary. How many more lies need to be told before the media controlled minds of masses wake up and realize that the evening news is nothing more than the propaganda of the left.

In My opinion they should not release the results of popular vote at all until the whole thing is decided. Popular vote, though it doesnt mean much,it does mean everything in an election. The electorals go the way of the popular vote for each state. Thats why its important to vote. You still decide its really no different its just that which saves all of us in the south or plains from having to live with a president elected by city folks in CA, NY, NJ, etc etc etc. just think how people in smaller states like RI would feel, with so little population why would any one vote? They do because they have a say in the election through electoral votes. CA went to Gore because of Cities like LA, San Fran, and Sandiego thats where the majority of population lives. I am Hoping Bush hangs on, but this election has really been a discrace of our democratic process because of the actions of Al Gore. He gave up early, hes such a loser, now he's crying because it is closer than he wanted. He could not even win his home state. Now they are finding uncounted ballot boxes days later in florida. That is election fraud those were placed after the fact. Do you not think they counted the boxes? How did they not know they were missing.
As far as the Ballot, I can see it happening, since Gore supporters are the poor and uneducated, probably signed up and bussed to the polls by groups like the NAACP etc. Most probably were given a sample ballot so they new how to vote(bush, gore, buchannan, nader etc.) and when it was out of order instead of bush gore nader and buchannan they just poked the one after bush, then duh, it was buchannan. They democrats didnt gripe in 1996 when they won, but FL threw out 143,000 state wide for double punching on the same type of ballot. I would also say that The reason Why ATVs were not a big issue only leads to the point that if it isnt, No One will hear our Cries if they banned us from our riding areas and took our polluting machines away. It would be no big deal to people.
