01wolverine squeaks when backing up

Default squekes when backing up

well whats up dudesjust put new bearings and seals in the rear ,and all new pads ,so i just bought a plow and wen i went out to plow it squeaks when i back up what would it be ball joint or axel or somthing like that thanks dave cooke

Make sure when you put the new brake pads on you backed out the bolt enough, I did this one time and the brakes had enough pressure against the disc that it made an squeak...

i think it might be the wheel bearing on the right side there is play up an bown onley in the center not on any thing else i grabed and moved everything and the movement is in the center

The bolt that drac1 is talking about goes right through the center of the arm that the emergency brake cable is attached to. There is a spring on the other side of the arm. Try backing off the lock nut and loosen the bolt up 2-3 turns. If it helps and you use your E-brake, you will have to adjust it again. If you're like the rest of us, you gave up on the E-brake long ago.

The rear axle bearings are also likely candidates. My right side was sloppy like yours, but the left side was shot as well. I don't remember mine making any noise though.

well when i went out to see what it waz i greased the drive shaft zerks and lubed all pivit points,then to it for a smach . i think it waz the front drive shaft that needed greasebecause when i took it out its ok (but not with plow lol)so i will test it today seeing i cant get out my front door lol.try all night to think of a way to angle my plow without getting of ,ok im lazey lol but had it all sorted out .went to where i worked for 18 plus year to get some bike parts,brake cable housing leaver and some small pullys ,o well this will give me something to do at nights.the only thing is the leaver doesent move side ways .later dave r cooke

well guys the bearings wernt it still squeaks.its coming from the front.i did do all new breaks,what waz this bolt u guyes were talking about for the breaks.

well i have to fix it when i get home have to go to work ,drive for halifax to ky and back be home thursday morning later guys dave

If it is coming from your front end it is more then likely your a-arms doing it. I have seen brand new Wolvy's do this and yes it is annoying. If you can try and take some lithium grease and spray the bushings.
