I'm pretty sure Warn makes a 1,500lb winch for sport quads.

Yup, the 1.5ci from Warn. I checked Warn's site and they do list a mount for the yfz450 as well. I have a 1.5 mounted on my Wolverine and it's a great little winch. Best of all it only weighs 11.5 pounds, so you won't be carrying around a ton of extra weight on the front end.

i gotta question why would you want a winch on a yfz?... if you get stuck they are so light you can just lift it out but i you are going to put one on go for the warn 1500 don't buy a cheap winch because you get what you pay for

I've been stuck bad enough to need a winch before. Any quad is to heavy to lift when you are knee deep in that boot sucking mud.

I don't have a winch, but if I did, it would be the Warn model.

Some people would rather do some hard-core trail riding (not necessarily mud) with a sport quad rather than an overweight and/or underpowered utility. Absolutely nothing wrong with that. You pay the money for the quad, you get to use it any way you want. I've seen plenty of yfz's and raptors buried on the trail...

I don't go looking for mud. I rather try to avoid it, but it is inevitable where I live.
