I love nerf bars. The first thing I put on to a new quad is nerfs. Do yourself a favor and get a set with the wide pegs and kick up ends. If you can't find or afford the 'propeg' style, then at least get some kickups for the end of the stock pegs. Safer and more comfortable, I would like to see more sport quads come with this stuff stock.

You can find em cheap on EBAY if you are patient. It's the first thing I would do on a quad. Mine have saved my feet and legs countless times on trails, especially the places we ride around here that are not well groomed so to speak.

I've had mine for a year and a half, and they haven't saved me yet, but they make me feel safer when i'm hitting jumps and going over real rough terrain. They have never got in the way for me, so I don't see any downsides of them other than a few extra pounds, but there's not a chance that you would notice the weight difference on a warrior. If your foot slipped off a wet/muddy footpeg while riding one time they would pretty much pay for themselves. A few years ago my cousin ran his ankle over with my recon when he landed a jump a little squirrely, and he was limping for a few months from it, and his ankle still isn't quite right.

I just added my nerfs on this winter and haven't really had a chance to use them. I added them on for protection after I saw some one pounding whoops on the trails and their feet slipped off the foot pegs. Hate em or love em I think their a good investment for protection, if they save you from injury once their worth it. And no you don't needa go buy real expensive ones for like $300 I got a decent set of DG ones for a little under $150.
