take a look at the engine in this thing and tell me they can't put it in an ATV

Maybe they could, but why would they put it in an atv though? It's purpose built for a snowmobile, it's not going to be suited well for atvs. All yamaha's quads already have great engines in them anyways.

 

One day it will happen. I would be really great to see a high performance twin fourstorke in a sport/race quad!

That is a sweet motor.. They are going to have to do something in ATVs to that tune.. I hope Yamaha comes out with a new twin or 4 cyclinder ATV they could really shake things up. they have the technology just witholding it.

 

If it does happen im sure it will be yamaha the first to do so, but maybe maybe bombardier. Honda is just too shy and conservative!
