My experience is a bad one.. BUT do not listen to my horror story, listen to the other people. I had never ridden a banshee, bought one, and blew it up not even a mile down the road. I still think it was the previous owners fault.. anyways, long story short, it sucked, I lost $1,000. Couple weeks ago I traded the basketcase banshee for 2 blasters, big step down, but plenty for me.. Word to the wise, if you buy one, buy a new one or REALLLY check it out, ride it for a while before you buy.

I've had absolutely no (big) problems since I have my shee. Just details that are very easy (and cheap) to repair...most of these were because of the previous owner who wasn't that kind of careful with his machine.
How long does it take to blow a 2 stroke? Long. Maybe other people have had other experiences, but here is mine.
I had a 125KX. The water pump seal was dead, and the water from the cooling system went in the engine/cranckcase. Added to this was the piston/rings used much more than what it should be. I have ridden like thid...for 3 months (adding water in the radaitor)...I didn't know it at that time! I discovered it three moths later when the engine almost seized, at the end of a 35 degrees (celsius) day long MX track riding... Unbelievable? That's what happened (i couldn't believe it myself).
Even 2 strokes are tough!

Banshee's are no different than any other machine.Take care of them and they will last as long as any other.90% of all blown up motors(Banshee or other) are caused from the owner being an inexperienced idiot,a teenage punk(same thing?)or just a slob who trashes perfectly good machines.
