Default best oil?

he has a point, oil is pretty much oil i don't think there is much difference between what you buy for .79 a quart or $8.99 a quart, prolly pretty much the same sh%t.
Wrong......Its your quad....U use what you want......Iv got way to much money in both my quads to use a cheep oil...Now i dont us a synthetic becouse i have had prob with it in the past..making clutches slip....Now do you want to take a chance on a cheep oil..and blowing your qaud up....Or spend a little more money and get the good oil.....i would reather be safe than sorry.....I Change my oil in the warrior about every two months....And on my drag rappy i chang it once a month....But thats just me......

There are no oils that have "wet clutch protection" they just make oils which don't increase the possibility of your wet clutch slipping. The oil Mobil1 10-30 you are using has quite a bit of molybdenum in it. This is "rumored" to cause slippage. I will bet a nickel, you like dozens of other ill informed people I know, have never had a problem with your clutch slipping. I would not recommend you staying with 10-30. If you like Mobil1 I would use the Mobil1 10-40SUV oil or the Mobil1 15-50 oil. These can both be Purchased at Wallmart for about 20.00 for 5 qts. Any good quality synthetic oil will do. If you have a ready source, Amsoil in all of its forms is a really good oil also. Because cold synthetic oils flow so much better than their dino relatives I would not buy anything lower than a 10 weight oil. If you run a dino oil living in Michigan you might need a 0 or 5 weight. It's important that you change you oil an a regular basis. Oil and air filters will let your quad live longer than anything else you can do.

Got anger issues pal?

If the rating on the oil is SG, it has no moly, it doesnt need to say wet clutch compatable. It was only from SH and later oils that have moly added...moly doesnt come naturally in oil...its added, and the specs on SG oil dont call out any moly....deal with it.

I've tried the high dollar synthetic oil (Mobil 1 MX4T at $9.00 a qt.) and the only difference that was noticable was my clutch would slip when I power shifted my 400EX. I only run dino now. Valvoline ATV 10w-40 at Autozone for $3.29 a qt.
