Grizzly wont fire
#1
I have a 99' Grizzly 600 and I was riding it the other day and I stopped on the trail and put it in neutral and let it idle about a minute then all of a sudden it died and now it wont fire,I checked the wire running from my cdi to the coil and it has contunity but not gettin any power through it, Any suggestions? How do I check the cdi to see if it went bad? Thanks for any information you may have.

CDI is about the last thing to suspect. There really isnt a good test for it, other than swapping it into a known good running grizz and see how it works.
How the gas level? Did you try reserve? If you open the screw at the bottom of the carb...does gas come out?
If you pull the spark plug out, then hook it back up to the wire, and ground the body of the plug to the engine , and crank the motor over....do you see spark?
Kill switch accenditally bumped to off?

I checked the fuel it's gettin fuel, Kill switch is in run position,I pulled plug and no fire from plug,The reason I suspected the cdi was I traced the hot wire from the coil and it comes out of the cdi. The wire has contunity but not gettin any power at the coil. It had a new stator put in about 4 months ago, Maybe it's bad again, can it be tested?

Yep, It can be ohm checked. I dont have a 600 grizz service manual or id give you the specs.
If you can get ahold of a service manual, either the clymers or the factory one, itll have the troubleshooting procedure for figuring out the problem, with out throwing parts at it. All youll need is a basic understanding of electricity and a voltmeter. The cdi is the last thing to suspect, unless every thing else checks out ok.
Have you checked the fuses? Have you checked the battery, for voltage drop while cranking? Will the spark plug spark, if you use the rope pull instead of cranking the starter?
