Your stock tire sizes are 25 x 8-12 front and 25 x 10-12 rear tires. I would find out how big you can go tire size (if you want bigger) before you need a choke kit. I have a bruin w/ the same size stock tires. I want to get the ITP 589's mounted on delta steel rims all 4 for $430 from ronnies. I would find out what type tire you want then call some local dealers see if they can get you a good deal. Good luck on your search, hopefully someone can help you more. Luckily for me, is only a 45 min drive. Ronnies

Ahh...I would say those tires are fine. Actually can someone tell us the difference between them and the 589's because that would be my other option... repeat his question.lol

check out itptires.com
the xtr's are radials, the 589s are not
xtr's are also very expensive, not sure if you are willing to spend that much, figured i'd throw that out there

the xtr's are probably a good choice for an all around tire, but there are other choices- bearclaws, atr's (radials), dirt devils, mudlites(non-xtr)
as for size, since it doesnt sound like you need them for mud, i would stay stock size or maybe go to 26"
wheel type-there are a ton of aftermarket wheels out there ranging from a plain steel wheel to the shiny, light weight aluminum wheels-most riders have ITP C series, but Maxxis, Douglas, and others make wheels
not familiar with CA, but Rockymountainatv.com is a site where you can buy this stuff

I have a 2006 Grizzly on order and have researched aftermarket tires pretty closely. I have not found any posts that state anything bad about the bear claws. Everyone that has them loves them. I've also found that dealers can sell a tire/wheel kit 26" bear claw on c-series type 7 wheels DELIVERED for under $500. You can't get XTR's for that price.

I too am looking for tires for my bruin. Can I go 26" without buying a clutch kit or lift kit? Will I lose power? Thanks.

here's what i'm thinking - i'm really not interested in alumium wheels - so will this combo work? these numbers are from Rocky Mountain

26x9x12 Mud Lights XTR mounted on 12x7 steel wheels ---------------- $281.99
26x11x12 ML XTR's mounted on steel wheels ------------------------------$303.99

what ya think?

west 350 no you don't need a cluch kit. no you don't need a lift . yes iwould however sogest you get the cluch kit for opower improvement reasons. little power loss with the tires? yes. but not to much. also if you get a cluch kit you will only be able to do like top speed of 35-40.

slip joint um good set but not for bruin . go with what my last post was. the tire& wheel your are getting is to heavy. and for the price your getting a stronger rim & lighter one at that + bigger tires! you can also bs with the guys and tell them you want smaller then the size i got if you don't like the big size !

hope this helps !
