brake problem
#1
I have a 98 Big Bear 350 4x4, and here recently my rear drum brake has been making a little noise, when turning or going down hill..
The noise is like the shoe are rubbing against the drum a little, it's not a constant sound, but you can really hear it and feel it in the foot pegs.
I have replaced the shoes, and that didn't help at all, also you have to adjust the brake in alot to get the pedal to engage the brakes..If you adjust the brakes out all the way, the noise will go away, but you will not have any brakes..
What could be causing this??, and what parts would I need to fix it??
Thanks,
Mark

What condition is the drum's lining in? If the shoes are new, that's the only other thing I can think of to be the problem. If it's not smooth, i'd recommend getting it resurfaced or just get a new one.

The drum looks to be in good condition, but I may be wrong..
My first thought was that the drum must be warped or something..
I probably need to rebuild the entire rear brake, to eliminate any problems that my occur in the future..
Were would be a good place to get parts to rebuild the drum brake?
