Default raptor shock leaking oil

One of my front shocks is leaking oil. What can I do about this, do I need to send it off somewhere and have it rebuilt or what? After a few rides there is oil on and all around the bottom of the shock and on the shock mount. Also on my rear shock I'm not getting any any adjustment out of my compression , I can adjust the rebound just fine, but the compression wont do anything. When I turn the scew on the resivior it doesnt click or anything? Anyone have any ideas.

get all 3 rebuilt and re-valved for your weight and riding conditions. You will have alot better handeling machine and no leaks

around 700 or less for all 3 depending on what you have done. I am having my rear revalved with the race tech gold valve and a new spring for a +1 1/2 swing arm for $350, stock fronts will prolly be around 200 each maybe. Call this guy Greg Sceiford @ www.highvelocitycycles.com it's here in albuquerque, they do really good work. 505-237-2006

thanks for the info, I will have to call. seems pretty high $200 a piece, for a couple hundred more I could buy two new shocks with resiviors. Maybe I will have the rear worked over and buy new fronts, maybe Elka or Works.

just guessing on the fronts, I have YFZ's which are better than stockers anyway, but I am gonna get them re valved too. You can buy works for around 600 with rezzies, it all depends on how much you have to spend and what set up you need. If you wanted a really good shock I would get YFZ'z and have them rebuilt to match your weight and riding style, then you have piggyback rezzies on a fully adjustable shock for the same as a basic set of works, and they will work way better. YFZ's are going for 200-260 on e-bay.

I was under the impression the stock front Raptor shocks are not rebuildable. that's news to me. and the compression adjustment on the reservoir of the rear shock doesn't click like the rebound adjustment. about every half turn is an adjustment, and there are only about 8 positions.
