raptor reving, high please help

Default raptor reving, high please help

i have an 05 rap. . i just put on a k and n filter, and im running it with the lid off. it wouldnt crank up so i rejetted. it turned over and idles good, but when i give it any throttle it jumps to a high rpm and stays.....what the heck is going on?

Sounds like the bike is still running a little lean. Try jetting a little bigger and see what happens. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

okay, now im at 160/165 and it idles good. its good until like 3rd gear and then the top end falls off...... its really nice out today. my parents went atving without me....lame. im not sure whats going on or how to fix it

oh yeah, and if i engage the hotstart it cuts off

Check your choke plunger in the carb it may be sticking open. Had the same issue.
