Raptor 700 Question
#1
After I pipe my raptor and put the air box on , instead of buying the power commander right away, my yamaha dealer should be able to dial in my fuel injection properly for me for the time being correct ?

I have heard from a few diffrent 700 owners that you can have the dealership somehow adjust your 700 to your mods. They had it done without having any problems and the dealer charged any from $35-55 dollars.

It seems only a select few dealers claim any knowledge of this. When they do it fattens the entire fuel curve up about 10% and you have no other tuning options. Some have had it done and claim it works great. You will just have to try it and see if it suits you and your mods. Good luck.

I talked to my dealer, he said no prob bring it in and he'll dial it up for me no charge, so that's cool , I guess the advantage of the power commander is you have a little more room to play around with your settings, but how often does a guy really need to adjust ? other than extreme elevation changes ..... or I guess you could lean out a bit for a race if you wanted to... am I right ? other than that once your dialed in with your mods, most riders are probably good to go.
