My Banshee is fu&%ed up!!!!

I just checked my choke, and it's good. I'm thinkin its the stator-side seal. As the motor warms up the seal expands and starts runnin like crap. If a seal is bad on a 2-stroke, they run like crap. I had that problem on a Polaris 300. If the problem is a seal, it can't be the clutch-side seal, or the right side exhaust would smoke significantly more than the left side.

I had a clutch side crank seal go bad and it did not effect performance enough that i could tell, I just noticed it smoking like hell out the right side. It seems to me that if after it warmed up and the seal expanded it would seal better because it expands in all directions and would get tighter around the crank and case. Sounds like to me you could have a coil going bad. You could check resistance through your coil but that could or could not tell you if it is bad since it is an intermittent problem. Anyways here is the specs for the coil. Primary coil resistance should be .28 to .38 ohms at 68 degrees ferinheight. Secondary coil resistance should be 4.7 thousand to 7.1 thousand ohms at 68 degrees ferinheight. If you cant find a problem there I would try a cdi box. Who knows what all problems cdi boxes can cause as far as electrical. I had 1 give me headlight problems.

i figured out my problem.......
I have some aftremarket 2-stage carbon fiber reed petals, and one of the petals got messed up. my problem was slowly getting worse and worse. Then the petal broke in half and went through the motor. the it was really runnin bad., and it would rev-up by itself.
I put my stock reeds back in, and it runs good now. Thanks for all the suggestions on how to fix it!
