Ok iam just wondering if this would be a good buy a 1996 banshee and the guy told me about a year ago he had the whole motor done with a big bore kit and everything and has only riden it 20 mins on the new motor and hes reason of not riding it is that he bought a new raptor and just liked riding his raptor better he wants $2500 and he told me that it runs and then dies cuz the carbs need cleaned and thats the only thing wrong and it has a 2into 1 pipe on it and everything else on it is stock thanks

Does anyone else think its kind of high? I was thinking more about like $2000 for that because the pipes, not running well, carbs, and its kinda aged at '96 and was probably ridden hard as hell. Just IMO.

i agree. You're taking a risk by buying a quad that old, especially one like a banshee that gets rode hard constantly, there's just no way to slowly ride a banshee. When you buy something this old you should figure on spending at least $500 on repairs and maintainaince within the first year of having it, there's a lot of little things that tend to be neglected, like bearings, bushings, and other normal wear and tear items. I made the mistake of buying a quad that wasn't properly maintained, and almost $800 went into it within a year just on repairs, not including the $750 for a new frame that the dealer covered under warranty.

The only way of knowing is to ask for receipts or even go to the shop that he bought the parts from or had the work done and ask alot of questions.
