Default Electrical problem with yfz 450

I was riding my '04/'05 yfz the other day and it stalled on me. I wasn't able to start it back up with the starter, I had to push start it. It turns over fine with plenty of juice. I'm not getting any spark when I try the electric start, but it fires immediatly when I push start it. I also lost power to the headlights. I've checked the two fuses by the battery and both are fine. Any suggestions?

04/05 model year, is it a 04 or 05?? just being curious... the lights wont turn on on a YFZ with out the engine running anyhow, so thats not an issue... unless they dont turn on while its running... may be an issue with the key switch or the CDI box...
then again, may just be a lose wire somewhere

Did you all know that your 450 yfz don't charge the battery with out the head lights on? They are fine if racing but if trail riding battery is not going to charge fully with head lights off!
