2 Rhino Questions, Please Help
I have a 2006 660 rhino and ride it out in the California desert.
#1 My stock air filter clogs after 40 miles, and I put on the k&n and its is half clogged after 78 miles, the air box has dirt in it, and the crankcase vent just goes into the airbox unfiltered. Anyone else clogging air filters this fast? Anyone somehow filter the crankcase vent since it resides unfiltered in the airbox? What a pain to constantly change out the filters, you gotta remove the seats the center plastic lid, but the most annoying part is trying to put on the stupid black rubber boot over the brake each time, what am I doing wrong, or what do I need to buy? OK so maybe I am just whinning about the black boot, but what about the constant filter changes?
#2 There is a rather large black plastic tube (is it 2" or 3") that attaches to the engine on one end and the other end is behind the drivers seat and ends into a snorkel that points downward. In the center is what appears to be a drain tube (clear plastic tubing closed on one end attached to the tube by a clamp) hanging down. My drain tube was 1/2 + full of powdery dirt. My friend said people were blowing up engines since this was unfiltered air, and that there is a mod to fix this, anyone know what this is? and is there mods out there that have been tried? Will this really blow the engine? Anyone know where this tube attaches to?
Thanks for the help, seems to me someone should have made an external airfilter design for this thing by now.
