pullstarting a raptor

Default pullstarting a raptor

is it possible and safe to hook a rope to my raptor 660 and have someone pull me to start it? whats the best way to do so if it is safe?

I had to do it while we were re-engineering my remote starter. No, it's not safe but that doesn't mean it isn't exciting. Use a long rope and shift to a higher gear before dumping the clutch, it starts easier in 5th than in 1st.

cool then, kinda wondering safe as in for the quad itself, not gonna mess anything up am i? like drivetrain/motor wise?

you should be fine (your quad) i have been doing it for years, yes a higher gear is the best way to go i wouldnt reconmend doing this all the time but you shouldnt worrie to much

I usually use 3rd, I had the battery puke a few times on me since the one-way went. Fixed the one-way, now it's time for a better battery.
