Yeap. Stock, it $ucks. I had put back on the stock pipes with spark arrestor and everything. I'm going back to aftermarket pipes this week (have to repair the silencer before). And the stock sound is really ridiculous. My pal's scrambler sounds better!! With pipes, it'll sound more like a free 1100 GSXR drag engine (4 cyl 4 stroke no exhaust).
The power difference is quite impressive also...no good for added traction though.

you're comparing apples (4-strokes) to oranges (2 strokes) they ahve completely differnt power outputs, they are both fast bikes. I prefer the 2 stroke output by far, it's alot more "fun" if you ask me!! Plus there are alot more mods out for the shee, but the raptor is sure to catch up soon....

Just my $.02

I've raced a Raptor with my Banshee, They are about the same taking off. It all depends on who gets the better start. Both times I raced my buddys Raptor he got the jump on me due to very bad starts on my part. Once we started going we were pretty much even until top end then it was see ya! In my opinion the Banshee just feels quicker. Nothing beats the feeling that you get when you nail the gas on a 2 stroke. Just my 2 cents.

Straight line drag racing the Raptor will win, have seen this one myself , several times , one Raptor 4 Banshee's 500 foot grass drags, not one could beat him. A couple of the Banshees were piped the others stock, the Raptor was stock. But they are two different machines really meant for two different applications. If i was a duner I would have the Banshee in a second, tight woods trails the Raptor. There isn't much like a Banshee when the power comes on, WOW! one of the funnest ride i ever took was on a 1988 Banshee, in 1988, wow, hit 3rd gear and felt like turbos kicked in, front end come up I hit the rest of the gears in a wheelie! Was scared and excited at the same time. eyes were watering heart was pumping. Never got that feeling off any atv since.

Twin, is your Banshee stock? Because from experiance of destroying a few Banshees you would have to sink alot of money in the Banshee to even come close in a drag. raptor leads the whole way.

Well I think I got a friend who can whoop all stock Raptor and Banshee's.Hes got an 88(or 80)Tecate-3.Its got DG all the way around.Bored .30 over.Wiseco Pistons.I know for a fact he can whoop a Banshee with FmF all around.Oh yeah for theRaptors whooping the Banshees in a 500ft drag.Thats not enough room for a 2 stroke to open all the way up.You need at least 1/2 to a mile drag to see the true speed of a Banshee.

Stock Raptor Stock Banshee ----- Raptor
Stock Raptor Piped Banshee ----- Banshee
Piped Raptor Piped Banshee ----- Raptor
Piped Raptor High Mod Banshee -- Banshee

and I bet you can keep on like that.

as far as the usage, suspension and handling the Raptor is far better. But for a 2 stroke hit and crazy Top end RPM the modified banshee is the way to go at the expense of poor performance in the other areas. They both are great.

Hey you know what? As long as I'm out having fun, I don't care if a Breeze blows by me.
