Default Cam installation on raptor

I have a good understanding of how the cam has to go in as I read the book. I understand how it all goes together but there is on thing that I am thrown off on. I understand that the piston has to be at TDC (top dead center) before I line up the marking on the cam sprocket. My question is weather or not the spark plug will fire on every revolution or if it only fires on ever other revolution. I am concerned that if is fires ever other that I might put this together 360 degees off. I am pretty sure the plus fires every revoluiton as there is not distributor but I want to be positive. Any help would be great.

Thanks

It fires every revolution so it doesn't matter.

ok this is just for my information too.

But if its a 4 stroke then it fires ever 4 th stroke hence 4 stroke. The reason it does noy have a dirtibuter is because there is only one cylnder so it does not need to ditribute the spark any where else.

This is just what i think not entirly sure. Of course if its a 2 stroke then yeah every time.

Hope this helps don't want you to bust you machine ( not sure if you would though if you got it wrong)

Your mostly kinda right. A 4 stroke HAS to fire every 4th stroke or 2 revolutions but CAN fire every 2 strokes or every revolution, at the end of the compression stroke and at the end of the exhaust stroke.

I Guess I had never thought of this unitil I went to set the timing. It makes sense that the spark would be there every stroke (every time piston was near top dead center). It is only the fourth stroke that it ignites the air/gas mixture because burnt air/gas is what is in the cylnder on the second stroke.
