Default Yoshi muffler repack

Hi guys, I em repacking my yoshi pipe on Raptor 660,
I take out 4 bolts and rear cap, but still can get the old packing
out, I end up to drill rivets on other site a pull sleeveout, is this
right way to do it ? But I find out why I can't slide old packing out,
around the inside pipe was steel wool wrapping and this prevent the
packing from sliding out. But my Q. , this steel wool stay on it or just
take it out and wrap new packing without it ? I ordered new packing
from Yoshi, but not sure, if they send you new steel wrap for it.
Old is not in good shape. Anybody have any experience with it ?
