Default Carb accelerator pump help

I bought a 98 warrior and it ran good...however, when i took the carb apart for cleaning, the accelerator pump plunger was froze and i also noticed the black boot was missing. I got the Accelerator pump moving freely now but unsure where to find that black boot that goes on it..anyone know? is it really needed?

Also, does anyone know how far the pump plunger is suppose to move? when i work the throtle spring in the carb it only moves that plunger 1/8 inch at most..but when i push the plunger with my finger i notice it has about an inch of travel before it bottoms out.

Thanks in advance for any help...Ive been looking for any info on this for close to 2 weeks now and am stumped.

Default Carb Accelerator Pump

I just recently went through that myself. They want to sell you he whole kit that retails for $39.00. I searched all of the Mikuni carburetor diagrams until I found one I thought would work and ordered it. It actually worked. I ordered it off eBay. Here is what I ordered: Mikuni Cap, Accelerator/Pump Rod N150.048. The part was $3.15 and shipping was $3.80 for a total of $6.95. This was cheaper by far than buying the whole kit; cheapest price I could find on the kit was $24.95. An alternate part number given by another site is: Mikuni Cap, A/Pump Rod TM33-8012 N150.048 #45.
