You can find 2002-03 Raptor 660r's for $3000 or so. The z400 and KFX 400 are both great machines as well.

 

If you're looking for a cheap, dependable sport quad you'll look long and hard to beat the Warrior I think. 300EX might also be an option. Not quite as powerful, but they are supposed to be fantastic in the handling department. I had my Warrior for 3 years and loved every minute I spent on it. Only things I did to it were replace the rear tires with Razrs, changed sprockets for something to do, changed the rear carrier bearings (over 4000km on the original ones), installed a uni-filter, rejet and repaired the starter once. In regards of problems with the bike .. the only issues I had were the starter and rear carrier bearings .. both of which were just wear issues .. though the starter was the worst by far of the two.

400EX is a nicer machine for everything except backing up (no reverse until 05).

Blaster is the way to go IMO...You can build a blaster cheap and I have even seen them beat piped banshee's in the past...They'll walk all over 400ex's....Put some plus 3 arms and a plus 2 swingarm and your ready to go...And it will still be cheaper than a 400ex or rapturd...
