unleashing the raptors power
#11
Are you talking about 660 or 700, cause people need to start specifiing these things more. I have a 2001 raptor for sale and i amde a post about it the gets into the details. 3300 OBO, check my thread.

Also, the raptor has no problem keeping up with 450s dirt or pavement, my raptor will stay right with a 450 on the pavement til 5th gear, it will start pulling away on top end. But my bike has a slip on exhaust and a k&n filter.

he is wondering about the 660 raptor, a yfz will take a 660, all you guys have been comparing the 700 to the yfz but he was asking about the 660

On the dirt it will take me if we are both racing, but if you are riding trails you arent gonna be doing 70 mph in tight trails, on the road (pavement) is another story, the rap and 450 are usually battling it out til rap gets into high 4th gear. But if it is a short run the yfz gets it by a nose. Im talking about a stock yfz. But i am willing to sell this guy my 660 then, cuause if that is what he talking about, then he has found one in awesome condition for a great price, just check my thread like i said before.

yeh when i read the post i thought you were talking about the 660.ive heard so much about how the engine livens up with a pupe and filter [aaswel as jetting]............i realise you're not rollin in money at the moment, because if you were then yes you would be able to make a very very fast raptor. but with a few simple mods then they become pretty fast. and stock for stock, in a long enough drag the raptor will take the 450, thats fact!raptor are all round quads, i love mine to bit. al i need is to get the 12 toth front sprocket and a pipe and away i go
