06 banshee vs. all 450's
Not to sure about your post atc..Did you mean to say a 250R is faster than a banshee?? If thats what your saying i would respectuflly beg to differ..
Anyways this is my view on the whole thing for the quatrillionth time ..IF your on a MX track the 450's are gonna be better..But in a drag race the shee is a tough customer..No matter how you cut it though dollar for dollar there is nothing faster than the shee..

2 strokes are faster, but are less efficient than 4 strokes. A Banshee needs to be a twin otherwise it would suck. 2 strokes are very crappy when it comes to low end torque and it would be quite difficult to not stall the Banshee (with the stock gearing) if it was a 350 single. A twin makes torque much easier and smoother than a single.

a stock shee can put out 42 hp at the rear wheels,,you can get in the mid 40' easy if you fine jet and airfiltred well the thing then,
,always the most importhant with pipes is fine jetting the carbs (pilot, needle, main) and you'll have all the benefit from it all across the motor range, add porting to it and the fine tuning become more important then
and the amount of air the blown through the reed cage.

Yup, a piped, filtered, and jetted shee will give any piped, filtered, and jetted 450 ALL it want's and then some, in a strait line.

by the way,if a 2 stroke is less efficient than a 4 stroke than we have big problem here,
and remember 2 stroke are easier to spin and fire twice much than a 4 stroke, through it gas and air and power
will arrive,we cannot say it from a thumper wich deliver most of it power by its' massive rotating mass
it spin through that keep it from not grenaded the cylinder walls, why don't you known most modern 4 stroke are going turbo to boost up their power.

BTW reality check, the banshee does not put out 42 hp to the rear wheels stock...Are you insane!?! The 450 puts out 39 or 40 stock.... The banshee puts out around 30-33, why do you think the stock raptor beats it?? The banshee is way too over rated and the only place they are considered good is in the sand and the 450s are ruling the sand now and eating the banshees away. Do yousee anyone racing banshees now a days? No, you dont. Do you know why? Well, there is not much you can do to a 2 stroke motor that does not include boring it, to make it more powerful. You can pipe filter and jet, reed valve, piston, rod, crank, and well...thats about it. With 4 strokes, you can mod and tune them with cam, valves, piston, rod, crank, exhaust, filter, jet, heavier valve springs, higher compression pistons...no fuel mixing, 4 strokes are just better overall...

Ahahaha...sorry, but no. Maybe a piped filtered and jetted shee givin a stock 450 that....Not piped filtered and jetted 450s. Any piped, filtered, and jetted 450 will blow away a banshee with the same mods. It been proven, people have way to much faith in the banshee. The stock raptor 660r beats a stock banshee. The 450s will beat it stock for stock and mod for mod. Stop telling this guy false info guys. The 450s are faster than any stock quad stock for stock, and mod for mod. Tell me one quad off the showroom floor that will beat any of the 450s.

I choose to revise my prior comments to include only the honda and yamaha 450's. The performance I've seen from a supposedly bolt on ltr this past weekend leads me to believe that the banshee needs more than just a set of pipes and filters to put one of these down.
