Default Dayco belt question

I have an '06 Grizzly and I'm looking to get a spare belt just to have it on hand. I want to get a Dayco and I noticed on the '05 Grizzlies part # HP2033 and HPX2233 will work but for the '06 Grizzly, only the HPX2233 will work. The HP2033 is about $30.00 cheaper then the HPX2233. Will the HP2033 work on an '06?

Default Dayco belt question

Id hold off on buying the belt. 99% of grizzly owners have never and will never change them, It isnt a wear item like on kawi and polaris. It should last 10 years, under normal usage.
The only reason the belts slip or fail, is if the tranny gets swamped, and its not cleaned out, and lots of hours are put on it in that condition.

Default Dayco belt question

I come from the Polaris school of thinking, "have a spare". I've heard that it's rare for a Grizzly to burn up a belt but I guess I would rather have a cheap spare then no spare at all. The only reason I'm concerned now is I'll be in Utah in a couple of weeks up in the mountains and I just want to be prepared. The other reason I was wondering is because the HP2033 says it will go on my bro-in-laws Grizzly so if he buys a spare, I was wondering if it would work on mine since we'll be traveling together in Utah. Thanks for the response.
