Default yfz 450 shocks on raptor

Listen, i searched, but they are all 2004 threads.. What shocks will most easily fit on my raptor, And will it take revalving, is it worth it? what do i have to do to put them on? If i got +2 a arms would they still fit? Would a rear shock also fit? if not anyone know anything that could fit that? yfz a arms would fit maybe? whats a good rear axle? thanks a lot

We're just sick of answering that question. Maybe you need to search a little harder.

And even if the newest thread is 2 years old (it's not but let's pretend), the yfz shocks have not changed since 04 (except new valving) and the raptor's front end hasn't changed since 01. So any comments and reviews would still be just as applicable as if they were made today.

yfz a-arms wont fit a 660 but will on a 700, and about the axle, if you dont want to pay 300 for an axle, buy a g-force axle for $200

to install the yfzs on the 660, you need to grind some metal off the top mounting brakets from the rap and some from underneath the yfz shock and i believe you need to gring below the lower mount on the a-arm, i dont know about the valving though

I just scored a brand new set of yfz450 shocks off of this rich boy for $75.00. Daddy is hooking up his bike for him!! As far as the install. Grind off about a 1/4" of the frame mount, flatten out the backside of the bottom 450 shock mount and mine slid right in. The 06' shocks are the better than the earlier modles due to a valve change. Nothing has to be changed in the shocks to make them work for your 660 raptor. I set mine at three clicks and factory is eleven. It's like riding on a couch with the extra raptor weight. This is the best "CHEAP" upgrade if you can find a cheap enough set of 450 shocks.....
