jetting on raptor
#1
hey i was wondering if the jetting on the stage 2 dynojet kit is right for all of my parts i have on my raptor i have the clip on the 4th clip and 144 left and 146 right and it seems to me judging by my plug its running rich but it seems to perform well though on decel there is a pop here and there. also im at 1500 to 3000 feet in south dakota

WIth your mods I would say you might want to increase your main jet size a bit. As for the popping on decel, did you up your pilot jet at all? Stock is 22.5s get a couple 25s and put them in and it should solve that problem. Some guys go up to 27.5s which is what I am thinkin about doing cuz I have some popping every now and then with 25s. With my mods I am running 165/170 jets, needle on 3rd clip, and 3 turns out on a/f. But I also run at sea-level to 1200ft. So that will make a difference on jetting.

On my 01 I had to lower the needle a notch (on 3 I think) and set everything else up as the sheet called for. My jet kit was a moose racing kit but was made by dynojet research so im sure its the same. I have a trinity full system (no quiet core/spark ar) K&N filter with lid cut open. I ride between 1500' to 4500 but usually stay around 2500' to 3000' and haven't had a problem with it yet. Hope this can help ya!
