K&N or GYTR Air Filter for YFZ450
#1
Does anyone have comments on the K&N air filter vs the GYTR air filter for a YFZ450? I noticed that the GYTR filter requires that you also purchase the billet filter adapter plate, but the K&N filter does not require this. I assume that the adapter plate simply makes the intake hole of the air box larger correct? Does this make that much difference as opposed to the K&N filter which just mounts to the stock air bock as is?
Thanks for any help.

The K&n is a stock replacement, the gytr is a clamp on so you can remove the lid and rejet for a lot more power without worrying about any leaks in the seal. I would buy gytr and a jet kit, better bang for a bit more buck...i bought the stock replacement on my rap...when i really shouldnt have =[[

Thanks for the feedback.
I have never jetted my snowmobiles or ATVs. Is there a lot to that? Can it negatively affect the reliability of the engine? I've heard that once you start messing with the engine on the YFZs you are asking for trouble.

If you dont rejet then your asking for trouble. like burning the thing up from being to lean. Not much to rejetting just do some searching on google and read before taking it apart.
