YFZ vs Banshee
#11
I had both the YFZ and the Banshee at the same time. I now have the YFZ if that tells you anything. I did like the Banshee but i like the YFZ better. But thats just me, you'll have to decide on your own.

Maintenance and tear down intervals are just as high if not higher on the 450's.

I love the YFZ. The maintenance schedule is pretty demanding though. Definitely the latest technology is available in any of the 450's that are out. However, on the flip side, the Banshee is pretty inexpensive to maintain - even if it fails, it’s very inexpensive comparatively to a 4 stroke. So, my thoughts are, if you have the money to maintain the YFZ and like the idea of having the latest technology in a 4 stroke, then the YFZ is the one for you. If you don’t care about the latest technology, and are primarily concerned with getting a fast quad and your maintenance money is tight, I would get the Banshee.

to only add a few informations,i don't want to be smart *** over here in your forum but,
if you look at the husaberg 450 motor's specs, you'll found an awsome powerplant there,
449.2cc a 100mm piston with 57.2mm of stroke with 13.1 of compression ratio,4 valves OHC,
rocker arm with roller, pressure circulation lubrication system, kokusan ignition system, and the list goes on,
if someone put that engine in a sport quad,it should 'redefine' the 450 race class performances level
for some time to come.
peaces to all sport racers, enjoy 4 wheeling.

A 4 valve per cylinder head with SOHC and roller rockers is not state of the art. Not thats its bad but the yfz has a 5 valve head with DOHC and it doesnt have rocker arms wasting its mechanical efficiency either. Not meaning to jump on the yfz bandwagon or knock what Scramblered said, but just a few of my thoughts. Good info though scramblered.
