buying a raptor
#1
alright i have the warrior now but i want more speed and power so im goin for a raptor or 400ex. I am going to buy both used and its a 660 raptor not 700. If i get the raptor i will barely have enough money to buy it so i wouldnt be able to really mod it out for awhile, cept for wat i can buy it with used(nerfs or maybe a slipon). If i get the 400 i stray away from yamaha which i really dont like but will do(hondas mext best in my book). Is it worth gettin a raptor or should i go for a cheap 400 and be able to mod it some.

thats really tough, see i was in your same position. I was going between the 400's, and the raptor. II went with the raptor, Im not saying it was the best decision because i would have been really happy with the 400, but i am very happy because my friend has a crf250r and yz 250, i smoke the crf250r and the yz250 beats the crap out of me until i stomp on him top speed . So lets see here, I was in the same excact position, we even have almost the same mods on our warriors lol! Id go with the raptor. But be careful on it, before you even do anything order $65.00 3 inch wheel spaces or you will be like me and flipped it because i was used to the warrior not flipping. Alrighty its your decision, i love my raptor, 400ex's are very nice bikes, reliable, kinda quick, but if you want the king of the hill go get a raptor. It smokes the 400ex and makes it look like a little girl at the dunes. Good luck

thanks for the advice and i will get the wheel spacers, but one thing im really gonna have to get used to is the fact that on the warrior you can basically lean back up a hill and not even lift up the front cause its so front heavy. but ill get used to it and thats wat i wanted to do.

I went from a warrior to a raptor and loved it.You should be happy without mods for a while.Suspension is way better to .Im a old dog my body doesnt hurt as much after ridding like it did from the warrior. After a few rides you will learn to lean forward and side yo side more because its so tippy.Gas on and enjoy.
