Ok i have a white bros E series pipe. Running 9 discs on it. Stock airbox. PUlled the plug and its white with a couple of spots of very light tan. I know its too lean. How do i fix this problem? I know it needs to be jetted. I just don't know what direction to go? Do i go up or down? Can someone please explain this to me? This is the first time i am dealing with a fourstroke and i get confused about the amnount of discs and the correct jets, twin carbs, left carb right carb oyyyyyy etc, etc. I had the dealer install the pipe but the left it to lean.. What do i do?
Thanks

joeyd, You need to go up in jet size! Example only and example I am not sure whats stock jetting is. EX: 22.5 to a 25 and check plug and keep going up in jet size untill your plug is tan or even a little black (better to be safe than sorry) I know the right carb uses a 2 size bigger jet so this will require you to go up even bigger on that side you can probably take the jet out of the right carb and put it in the left carb and then just go buy a 2 size bigger jet for the right and this will probably put the jetting close to where you need to be!

I would leave the air screw alone, once its jetted I think you'll be fine. If you ever change your air box check your jetting again you'll probably have to go even richer=bigger on the jetts but if you stay with the stock airbox and lid you should be fine. If you call white bros they should tell you what jets to run, just make sure you tell them where your from. If no info from white bros I would do as I said before put the bigger right stock jet in the left carb and go buy a 2 size bigger jett for the right carb and then check the jetting I'll bet you'll be close if not correct on the jetting. Also once it warms up again above 75degrees I'de check jetting.

Joeyd, check out Manyard post under raptor pilot jet post. He gives the stock jetting specs and tell what he went to he is from cali so yours wont be the same but I think he said the stock jetting is 140main jet and 145main in the right carb. So put the 145 in the left carb and go buy a 150for the right and the pilot jet is the same in both carbs so I'de go from the 22.5stock pilot jet to a 25 in both and try that combo.

Joey,

Can you tell much of an improvement in power with the new pipe or is it mainly just more noise?

Its hard to say..i mean it defintly has more throttle response..much more snappier..i beat a modified banshee, repatly if it means anything to you. With the pipe it felt better in the mid range..but i really don't think it gave me anything on the top end. That's why i am trying to jet it correctly. Check back in a couple of weeks when i have all the jetting worked out..so far i get more respnsive throttle, better mid range.

BUt I know with the correct jetting it will be much should be better. Yes its noisier...the jury is still out
