Default Powder coated frames from the factory

Are they durable do they chip, crack, and peel. I was wondering cause it seems like on more and more bikes from the factory are coming with powder coated frames. Are they as durable as the regular silver frames. 05, 06, 07 Z400, 07 raptor, 07 yfz450, 07 400ex, and 07 450ER just to name a few.

I had a honda recon, and that came from the factory with powdercoated frame, bumper, and racks. That held up very well, like 10x better than this weak stuff yamaha calls "paint". The recon's pc never rusted, and the only spot it wore off was on the bottom of the frame from sliding over fallen trees and bouncing off rocks. If I do as much as look at the paint on my frame the wrong way it'll rub right off, so I can't see how the powdercoat could possibly not hold up as good even if it wasn't a real good quality.

hmm, the more I think about this, the recon might not have even been powdercoated. I know that it sure did hold up a whole lot better than the paint on my yamaha. It's probably just because honda builds their stuff on a higher level of quality than other brands.
