OK iv got my cousins 05 raptor.. He left it with me to put some parts on it...And iv done this a bunch of times and iv never ran into this prob... Ok i put a alba full exhaust on it.. And i drilled a few holes in the air box ( He did not bring me a K&N so im having to run a stock air filter in it) and i put a stage 1 hot cam in it... and iv change the jets twice.. First time i put 160-165 in it.. and it was way rich.. so i put 145-150 in it.. and its not rich.. But the dang thing is poping really bad at higher RPMs.....And i really think i got it back in time right...And that dang decompression thing on the cam sucks....Anyway if anyone knows why its poping at higher rpms please let me know im tired of messing with it... I wanna play with my drag rappy lol.

Maybe you need new plugs, Not enough spark to ignite all the fuel. Just a thought.

 

It was way rich with the 160/165s?????? On top end or mid range bogg? If mid range, you could try lowering the needle. I would probably try 155/160 but he'll have to change it after/if he puts a K&N on.

 

It was rich on top end and at mid range...So i put in 145-150 and it runs good till you hit higher rpms and it starts poping out the exhaust badly.. so im going to try 150-155 jet and if that dont work.. Im going to take the valve cover back off and see if i got it out of time just a little..... Keep it coming guys..im tryed of playing with his slow a$$ raptor..I wanna play with mine...[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
