I ordered an 07 700 Grizz on June 30. At least in Alberta and my dealer specifically, Yamaha provided two quads in the initial run. My dealer was going to sell me one and keep the other as a demo. I put my deposit down and expected the quad the next week.

I got a call from my dealer in the afternoon of June 30 that Yamaha put a hold on all the 700 Grizzly's. Apparently some must have been shipped because the order said that the 700's could not be sold until an issue with the transmission was repaired. I am not sure if the problem with the transmission is that it pops out of gear or if it starts in gear. Anyway no shipments until the recall has been repaired.

My dealer does not know when the 700 Grizz will be shipped.

Thanks for update. Strange to have tranny issue with all of the good reports coming out of the Montana demo rides and also fact that all reports on tranny are that it is same as 660 but just beefed up for the extra power. Now they did eliminate the rubber corrugated boot over shifter and changed to Suzuki style gated selection slots. These should be all reliable changes.
