Default Yamaha wench question

Hello All,

I'm new at this 4-wheeler thing, I just got a 2003 Yamaha Kodiak 450, and I'm currently learning what I can about it. This 4-wheeler has a yamaha wench on the front, behind the front push bars. I do not see any switches on the handle bars to operate the unit. I did find a **** on the right side of the wench ( thats if your facing the front of the bike) that turns. Is that how you operate the wench? I need your help !!

Thanks in advance for your help !!

That **** that turn will release the cable so it freewheels and you can pull it all out by hand. There should be a relay and switch mounted somewhere. Follow the wires that come out of the winch and see where they go. They will go to a relay if it is hooked up. It might be just bolted on there with not ever being hooked up.
