Insurance only weighs 11 lbs my brother. But still, my $295 can be put towards other things that my bike actually needs.

you can actually get the 1500 warn for 195 at www.4atvtires.com also if you replace the the steel wire with the nylon rope(same strenght) it puts the weight down to only 9.5lbs! and you can get any color

Why not just try to stay out of situations where you might need a winch? Besides, can't you just pick the Blaster up?

Stay out of situations? Where's the challenge in that? Heh, stay out of situations...

I don't know about picking the blaster up, most blaster riders that i've seen are pretty small, and might not have the muscle it takes to lift it up and out of some situations. I'm 5"11 180 lbs so i'm not a real small guy, and I've gotten my quads in positions that I couldn't get them out by myself, and was even challenging with other people helping out. Quads can seem a whole lot heavier after a few hours of riding, and high centered in a rut of thick mud.

I'm 14 years old and only 5'11 weighing in at 125 so picking up a blaster after riding some hard trails could be challenging...

hmm, that really wouldn't solve his problem the slightest bit, would it? A 4 stroke is gonna get stuck just as easy as a blaster would, it just weighs more so it'll be harder to get unstuck. So yeah, that was a step backwards.

I have a winch on the front of my Z400 I've used it ot pull other people out But haven't used it to recover myself, yet As far as lifting the blaster, I agree, after riding awhile, quads seem to get heavier, especially when your on an incline or went a little to fast around that curve and have gone down an embankment there are times to have a winch however, for your blaster, it's not practical. Ride with buddies who can help you get out of majority of situations you get into.
