Default Programable CDI Box?

Does anyone out there have a programable cdi box? I was just woundering how hard it is to use. Does it have to hav a special program on the computer to ues it? If so does everything you need come with the box when u buy it? How much does increase the rev? Most of all, is it worth $230? Need to know ASAP. Thanks.

A programmable CDI just mean that it CAN be hooked up to a computer to get custom maps, but you don't have to. You will still gain all the advantages of a regular CDI, just more flexability. The computer program can usually be purchased separately at a very large extra cost. The DYNA CDI comes with one custom advanced timing curve already programmed in, but to get others you must have the software, or know someone who does. Hope this helps.

The software and cables are available to reprogram them. I own them. There is not alot to be had unless your wanting to tune for every litttle bit of power.
Most engine builders sell the cdi's with thier own curves for or to your engine. Not worth the 600+ dollars for all of it unless you plan on spending some dyno time to get it right.
