would a blaster be good for a 14 yr old 5'8 weighin about 150lbs?? I do trail riding and drive in the snow a lil. Changin the gears and everythin is no prob.
I don't wanna spend too much but I wanna have sumthin I could have fun with

If u dont want to spend much id recomend a 400ex even though i hate em they sure are reliable and great foor all around use. you can find an older one for around 2000

 

The blaster is a fun quad , and is good for smaller people. One bad thing about it for riding is it doesn't have reverse, but you can find ways around it. I have only $1200 in my blaster and it threw me off yesterday. I normally ride the 250r, but still like to screw around a little on the blaster.

 

Yea a blaster is a great inexpensive quad that is fun. So is the 400ex (though it is a little more, get it if you think you will outgrow the blaster) Im 5'11" 180lbs and a blaster is very small for me.

 

I just bought an 05 Blaster because of the cheaper price...but I am 21 and only 5'8 135lbs...so its about the right size for me. I took it to the drag strip stock....8th mile...and it ran like 12.40s at 50 some mph....but my buddy ported it...bought a Wiseco piston...got an FMF Fatty pipe...jetted it...took all the fenders off and lightened it up by takin all the heavy stuff off...and for the little amount of money I spent it broke into the 9's at about 70mph. So, u can gain a lot with a little money on a Blaster too when he gets older and wants to go faster. I also took it trail riding and it kept up with a kfx400 and went through everything it did....but not having the reverse does suck.

get the blaster i'm 14, 5'7' and 131lbs. and the blaster rips for me

 

my blaster kicks because i just got the head shaved and got it ported. its fast lol i just need some new treed. GET the blaster they are awesome i keep up and beat most machines up here around nad under 350cc. i can keep up with z400 so get it. lil money is great improvment. but if u want to mod it like crazy get something like a z400.

 

cool...... I mostly ride with 2 people, one has a 660 raptor and the other has a 300ex. would I be able to keep up with them?

 

mine kicks the crap out of all teh 300ex's at are track im mostly with the z400s but they are almost stock. the 300ex is no competition. but the raptor it would keep up in the sence of if u guys are not racing just trail riding. anything (almost) will keep up with each other if u are not racing. most blasters are a lot faster then ppl think. i mean there is so many ppl here that see u and want to race so they are like how biig is that? im like 200cc. they think oh my 250ex would be so much faster then that is just a 200. so u wanna race for 20 bucks man? im like sure. then i ride away with a new 20 dollar bill lol. im mean seriously ppl understimate blaster.
