First, don't plan on keeping your stock shocks with these, extended arms puts more leverage on them which makes them soft, and it's not going to handle like you want it to. Figure at least another $300 for aftermarket shocks into your plans. You could try using the stock shocks with the preload tightened up, but they're not going to work as good as they used to when you're jumping it. The extra money for shocks is well worth it, you don't realize how bad the stock shocks are until you ride one with aftermarket shocks on it.

But the way the sizing works, is that the +2/+3 is what is added to each side, so +2 would be 4 inches wider overall, and +3 would be 6 inches wider overall.

If you ride trails, I would recommend sticking with +2's, unless you ride on mostly wide trails. That extra width width will make it handle a lot better, but an extra 4 or 6 inches can keep you from getting places you used to be able to squeeze through.

I believe the +1 up means that it the wheels will be 1 inch farther forward than where they are stock, which helps to make the quad a little more stable at higher speeds, and helps keep the front wheels on the ground.
