Default warrior tires

OK gonna buy some new tires and rims for the ol warrior. Its got factory sizes now and factory wheels. I do alot of trail riding out here in the desert thats usually hard packed but sometimes rocky. It will see a couple of dune trips a year but already have a set of paddles for the rear. The quad has a white bros pipe, and i believe one size smaller front and rear sprockets. I would kinda like a litte bigger so i can gain some ground clearance. so what do i go with brand and size?????

If you looking for clearance go with Dirt Devil rear tires, & they fit stock rims and are 24"or 25" tall cant remember exactly, As for the front I beleive you cannot go any larger due to turning and clearance issues, hope to help.

I have holeshot HD's and love them. Great all all terrain, even sand. Check out the pics. There a 6ply tire too so they stand up to a beating.

If you have any concerns about performance then don't go any bigger than 22's, big tires will slow you down quite a bit. That's what I run and think that with a good skid plate they're perfect for trail riding. What kind depends on how you ride. If you're an aggressive rider and want maximum traction go for something like holeshot xcr's or maxxis razr 2's. If you want something that is a little better all-around and more suitable for mud and loose surfaces, kenda bear claws or maxxis sur-traks work well on warriors. It also depends on how much you want to spend too.

So should i run 22's front and back with 10inch rims. Ya i want traction but i also want to be able to slide al lil in the cornners. I need to buy new rims also so i'm hoping to keep the whole package under 500.

Ok, that information helps. 10 inch rims will probably be the best for you, but if you want tires that slide well, then forget xcrs or razr 2's, they have too much side bite and don't slide without a good bit of power and persuasion.

Kenda Klaws and Maxxis Razrs are pretty good sliding tires without sacrificing good traction and durability. And both of those are reasonably low on the price scale so you should easily be able to get a tire/wheel combo for under $500. A set of 22x11x10 Kenda Klaw XC's (6 ply) mounted on Douglas 190's is about $200 + free shipping on rockymountainatv.com.

Were you looking to get new front tires and wheels too?

it's an 88, they're probably looking a litle rough by now. Mine's an 01 and 3 of my stock wheels are noticably bent, one of the front ones has about an inch and a half side to side. Stock wheels are ok i guess, but they're weak.
