Mx banshee advice....

Default Mx banshee advice....

but t6's are supposed to make more power..idk..

have u looked int DG,, they have a 2 into 1 pipe thats supposed to make some nice bottom end power=good for mx

PT's are paul turners. Do a search im sure you will find a little info on em. Supposed to be one of the best lowend pipes for the shee.

Hmmm.... suspension on a banshee...

Well, here are some things to consider:

The motor is heavy, like the Raptor, so you'll want shocks with stiffer spring rates to handle the extra weight it has over the lighter weight 450s. The Banshee also has a tall frame with a higher center of gravity, so you'll want shocks that create less roll in the corners. You want some long travel shocks so you can carry Banshee-like speeds through whoops and rough sections, but you also want shocks that won't sacrifice your ride height and create a tippy feeling in corners

For front shocks, you need to look into PEP ZPS. Call Baldwin Motorsports (440) 224-2734 and ask about their front PEP zero-preload shocks for a Banshee. Ask them what a-arms they recommend you use, they will likely tell you Walsh. However, Walsh is expensive. For a good set of a-arms at a reasonable price, call IMS/Roll Design out on the West Coast. You will have adjustability and their gull-wing, long-travel design. Roll Design, Houser, Laeger's and Walsh a-arms will all come with tie rods and ends. While your talking to Baldwin, ask about their front wheel hubs. It will save you unsprung weight in the front and make it lighter for whoop sections. With the light, responsive front end, you will also need a steering stabilizer. You can go with the cheap setups like Denton's stabilizer for around $130, or look into top pro setups which run around $400. It all depends on the size of your wallet. Also in the steering section, look into a steering stem and new bars. The stem is a must, and for motocross you want a strong set of bars. Houser has a great stem at a great price. Motosport Outlet also has a few different stems in their catalogue if price is a consideration.

For your rear suspension, I have always found it easier to have matching shocks front and back for tuning and adjustability purposes. The same shock company will also be able to set up all three shocks at the same time for your weight, riding style, etc., which will result in a more predictable and smooth ride. Plus, when you need to rebuild them you can send all three shocks to the same shop. You will need an axle. RPM makes a great stick, but it's expensive. Team and G-Force sell cheap axles, and I think they are warrantied. LSR makes a reliable axle at a reasonable price with a lifetime warranty. An axle is a must. The swing-arm can wait if you can't afford it. But if you do get a swingarm, check out Roll Design's Lobo II.

As for tires, the other guys are right. With the banshee you won't want to run a tall tire. It will take too long to make power, because Banshee's don't have the low-end grunt of a four-stroke to turn big lugs off idle. But don't go with 18 inchers in the rear, either. Once you do start making power, it will just spin them and not hook up. Try a 19 inch tire like the Holeshot MXR-6.

stock form, on website is 06 yfz as 350 lbs, 06 shee as 386 lbs.

i went with the works new g series, believe they are a little less cost.

My buddy has works shocks on his shee and he likes them. I really dont care for chrome though, and i think thats all they come in. I would like to find a mid/upper range shock thats available in black.

the newest shock they make is the g series,red,white,& blue,is what i ordered,but the body in the pic didnt look chrome, looks like gold anodized with 5/8 s/s rod.however covers are cheap and look great.

definatly...if u are going to drop the cash for the suspention and plan to actually ride the atv...i suggest shock covers!!
