Has anyone put hand warmers on their atv's? I do a lot of winter riding along with snow plowing and I thought it would be nice to have warm hands. Has anyone had any luck with any particular brands and how hard are they to install?

Thank you

Tractoral,

If you get them, you will be wondering what you were ever doing without them. Look into getting a thumb warmer also. They work great! You can install them in about 15-20 min. It is very easy. I like the hand warmers made by kimplex, that go underneath your grips. Don't buy the plastic ones, that look like regular grip, because they are very uncomfortable. If you have anymore questions, let me know.

I aggree,
Heated grips are a must for any winter riding, Don't forget the thumb throttle heater. Easy to install, you'll wish you always had them.

So you say Kimpex is the way to go eh? I'm going to look into getting them for my Wolverine. I have just installed a nice windshield with the fiberglass bottom and mirrors. Looks really good and helps cut the wind from your face and hands. also got the rear seat with fender guards and foot pegs. Hand warmers will finish my Winter transformation. I will try to get pics posted as soon as possible. Bike looks real good!!

Default hand warmers

Hey!! I installed handle bar warmers about 4 months ago and they worked amazing, so good on HIGH that I had to keep them on LOW when it wasn't cool out. The problem is I hooked the POSITIVE for the warmers to the red wire coming into the ignition... which in turn provided a constant ground to the battery even when the bike was off..... I ended up killing my battery from it and the battery wasn't cheap. Stupid mistake... Anyway, now I have the possitive hooked to the 12V accessory outlet on the bike, BUT, the bar warmers don't get nearly as hot as they used to.

Anyone know if this is because there is less current through the 12V accessory? And if so, where might be a better possitive to hook these to for more heat.

Thanks
