I broke the rear swing arm on my Kodiak450(2004) during hunting season and when I went into Anchorage Yamaha they told me they have never heard of this happening, then when I went to Eagle River Yamaha they told me they have seen this quite a bit.

Now what I want to know is this "Has this been a problem to anyone out there? I remember one post last year or was it 2 ago about this very incident.

The rear shock also broke off at the bottom. I priced them out and they run about 130 dollars for the arm and 150 for the shock but I was wondering about a aftermarket shock, any suggestions?
