blaster w/ 400ex motor

Default blaster w/ 400ex motor

i was wondering how good it would be to have this setup and if this is a good idea.

Both the quads are about the same size, both air cooled, i dont see how it would be that hard to do. Aside from making some engine mount brackets it would prolly work fairly well.

Why do it though? For the hassle you are going to have to go through to buy and properly mount that engine up, you can just buy a whole 400EX and have better handling, better suspension, better brakes, and better looks.

Will the final drive sprocket's be on the same side ? The blaster frame is more lightweight than 400ex & will definately be an interesting converstion. keep us posted

I don't think it's worth it. You can pick up a decent 400EX for pretty cheap these days. By the time you're done with the swap, you'll have more money into it than it's worth.

I think it would be pretty cool. A four stroke blaster...put some wide a-arms on it a set of good shocks and new wider axle....be one sweet setup and ppl would sure be looking confused.
