Default Banshee backfires/poor midrange. help!

I have a 1999 Banshee 100% stock. low hours and never been in the sand. recently I've had problems with it backfiring at start up. It idles and starts great and has full power at WOT, But it sputters in the midrange. I was planning on going riding this weekend. Any ideas on what i should do to fix this problem? also, let me add that I dont hear any signs of broken piston ect. I thought about cleaning the main jet on it. The carb has never been opened since new. Also I just put new plugs in it. Please help. Thanks!

check and make sure air filters not loose or lid cracked, clamps tight, tube between the carbs tight. maybe trash in the pilot or the needle. sounds like its lean, not enough gas.
