Well it could be bad if you don't clean the airfilter and don't rejet but if you continue to check and clean the filter and have the jetting right and aren't running lean then you should be fine.

If you are doing this I would also consider an exhaust or does the bill ballance edition come with one.

nope it has a stock exaust. i heard that if i run an open lid on my stock quad it can make the engine perform differently as to where i left it on??? right now i've had it off for 2-3 days seems to run fine. the exaust is must more loud, which i think sounds better.

just keep an eye on the color of your spark plugs and that will tell you if you are running lean or not I would rejet though.

Chances are you should go up a tad on your jetting if you are going to run without the lid. I would probably invest in one of the aftermarket lids for that extra protection from mud and fine dust though. K&N has one, Pro-Tec makes a decent looking one, and you could probably convert your stocker to something similar buying some Outerware material and mounting it up.

On a side note, have you ever ridden at Thurston Hills MX? I have been looking to try that place out and was wondering if it is worth the drive from Ro-cha-cha?

i appreciate all the advice!!! for scooter86 Thurston Hills Mx isnt too bad. the supercross track is all grown in now. they havent taken care of it but they have a new track with two tripples that i dont dare do on a quad. its not to bad. have a little table top too. there is a wood course too with jump and crap they i love to do. if you dont like it there you could alway go to rocky roost, which i think is better. rocky roost i think cost $15 per person where is Thurston Mx is free. Rocky roost has a bunch of table tops and one double. and have a woods course as well. Thurston Hills Mx park is a lil technical for me. but there you have it. hope this all helps in makin your decision to come up.
